Who Needs Thick Skin?

So I'm 2 months into posting fic for the first time since I tried and freaked out nearly 10 years ago because I didn't have thick skin.

Do I have a thicker skin now?

I came here hoping to find the fic that is probably the one that has you so disappointed. :( I sent a private message through LJ earlier but I'm not sure you got it. As an author, I can't stress enough that you need to write for YOU. I saw the comments on the meme and I'm sorry that your fic had to be subjected to that. I had only read the first three chapters and then I clicked on A03 and was ecstatic to see a fourth chapter but then I lost it because I'm not a member there (yet). I really would like to read it, though. Do you have it posted elsewhere?

Please don't let this stop you from writing. Expression is such a wonderful part of life and I'd hate to see yours silenced.
