went to the doctor today the three of us

it’s the first place we’ve been other than our house and the first people we’ve been around for more than a year

now begins 14 days of “i think my throat hurts here’s the flashlight take a look” “did i hear you cough?” “my chest hurts am i dying?” “take my temperature” “my O2 sat dropped from 98 to 97 am i dying?!?!!”

should i tell them yes they’re dying every time?
we all have allergies so the above stuff is normal everyday stuff
could be fun to tell them they’re dying every time they ask 😈

I've been out and about a little in the past year but I've always been doing a minimal amount for contact.

I've had medical appointments to deal with, plus living in a rural area with lower rates of transmission has helped of course.

But I went into my work's office for the first time since last August on Friday, to pick up a new laptop... And it was such a surreal experience.

Yesterday I drove for the first time since last October.

Surreal is a good word for it! Especially watching people around here with mask usage. You'd think a doc's office would be super good about it but several nurses didn't even bother putting theirs on until they saw we were sitting there in the waiting room and one hadn't even covered their nose.

We need to follow up with a dermatologist and cardiologist and I'm like ugh I dunno if I'd rather risk skin and heart issues or Covid, ya know?

That's the only place we've been in over a year, so I'm not sure what other places are like, but we've heard stories from friends about the behavior of people just being REALLY bad.

I'm glad you've been able to avoid people for the most part and that you live in a rural area!
