"where's the gravy?"
Mar. 26th, 2021 02:24 pmYeah I’m griping about my dad again 😛
My normal work day is getting up at 6am with Roo, taking her outside, then I come in and start work. I work until 10:30am when we wake my mom up, and I make us breakfast, and we talk for a while as we eat. I go back to work until 5pm, which is when I start making dinner.
I had to go to Walgreens yesterday afternoon, and our Walgreens is stupid so I sat in line for 30 minutes and had to deal with the terribly undertrained understaffed employees. I’m always nice, but it’s a stress.
I stopped working at 4:30 yesterday because I knew I wanted to make that Thanksgiving Turkeyloaf thing again, and that takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to bake and the prep time is about 30-45 minutes.
I was so tired by the time I was done cooking that all I could think about was flopping down in my chair, eating the awesome Turkeyloaf, and staring at the TV.
My parents had requested mashed potatoes, and I made those from scratch as well. My dad requested gravy too, but I must’ve forgotten.
I called my dad out for dinner, he comes out, and instead of saying “hey thanks for dinner” or even “ooh that looks good” he just grumbles “where’s the gravy?!”
I ignored him.
We have enough of the Thanksgiving Turkeyloaf to eat it through Sunday 🤗
