Aw.. X-Files slash does bring back some good memories, i spent a lot of time at the basement and all things rat -- I was a Mulder girl who pretty much shipped Mulder/Skinner, Mulder/Krycek, or all three of them, with a little Mulder/Doggett when I could find it. philedom is the dreamwidth comm, though it's gone quiet again, xf_book_club is still active here on lj, but most of the x-files comms I follow haven't updated in a long time.
I liked fic where Scully got treated well, and at least vaguely resembled her canon character, but there was so much scully bashing or superscully fic that it was hard to find a good balance.
I've still got a few active yahoo groups, but the daily digests are much shorter now, and lots are inactive. Though one writer who had a member's only group just started up again after a nearly 5 year gap, so there's always hope.
