But the one doing the most damage right now is Meagan. That’s Marissa’s daughter, Charlie’s step-daughter.
She’s an alcoholic.
Marissa just watched her little sister drink herself to death a few months ago, and now she’s watching her 20-something-year-old daughter do the same thing.
Meagan moved out of Charlie/Marissa’s house again a few months back, got an apartment, and got her own insurance car.
In 8 the weeks she was “on her own” this time, she managed to get the police called on her 3 times over fights with the downstairs neighbor (who just wants to live peacefully without a drunk asshole physically and verbally assaulting her, screaming and banging on doors in the middle of the night, and passing out on the front lawn), almost lose her job 5 times, and get put on a 72-hour hold 3 times.
That’s before Thursday.

What she did Thursday was she got drunk. Again. This time with a blood alcohol level of 2.9.
Wanna know how I know the blood alcohol level?
Because she drifted through the middle lane while driving, clipped an oncoming car, bounced off, and rolled her own car with her and a passenger in the car. The hospital took her blood alcohol level.
This is after having an accident exactly TWO WEEKS AGO TODAY and has had this new car for about a week.
She ended up in the hospital Thursday night, created lots of drama by claiming they had to let her get away with it all or she would just HAVE to kill herself because “I’m a self-harmer you know!”
So now she’s on a 72-hour mental health hold to be followed by a rehab stay.
My pdoc is dropping her because she can’t take it anymore, but this is after she made sure the hospital, the rehab place, and the crisis center knew exactly what’s what so they don’t waste time falling for her lies and manipulation.
The self-harming thing? She uses it. Has since she found out I was a self-harmer back when she was a teenager and realized it had everybody treating her with kid gloves whenever she wanted to go on a bender and get away with whatever she had done.
She never does anything to herself, just uses it on people like her boss, who would’ve fired her 5 times over now, but hasn’t because he’s scared she’ll kill herself.
Just like she uses it on Marissa and Charlie to get away with 24/7 behavior.
Just like she tried to use it against my pdoc to get what she wanted, forgetting that my pdoc has TONS of experience with this sort of thing and saw right through it.
Before you freak out -- the pdoc knows my whole family. All the members of my family have given her permission to speak freely with me about them because of my history of working in the medical field and my medical knowledge, and the pdoc loves it because she can discuss meds and treatments with me and I can help her with it all.
I’m the one that goes to all the doc office visits and hospital visits with any family member who needs to go and I talk directly to all their docs. They have a hard time being confident and standing up for themselves and getting treatment, but I have no trouble doing that.
So after making me swear it was to go no further than me (another reason why I use fake names for my family members), pdoc told me what was in incident report and hospital report.
I reassured her she was doing the right thing by discharging Meagan as a patient and telling the ones who are in charge of her now what she’s really like so they can treat her and hopefully help her.
In the meantime, Meagan has turned Marissa against my pdoc, lying about everything and blaming my pdoc for things I absolutely know my pdoc didn’t do or say, like “well *pdoc* told me to only do AA for 30 days and then I’m good.”
No way in hell would pdoc say that ever. She might have asked Meagan to AT LEAST go for 30 days in an attempt to get her to do SOMETHING, but never that’s all she had to do, and she talks to her daily, begging her to get treatment and work with help.
Pdoc told me Meagan will be getting a DUI and possibly more, especially if the other people involved are seriously hurt.
Charlie and Marissa are fighting because Charlie wants to kick Meagan out but Marissa (a horrible enabler) insists everything Meagan is saying is the truth and they need to help her, not kick her out, even though Marissa’s version of helping is enabling.
I can’t wait until I never even hear about what my family is up to. I won’t miss the stomach aches.
