Yes, and I would imagine that anyone who DID abuse animals wouldn't be adversely affected by abuse pictures. They won't be crying over them or changing their ways.

Rescue pictures sound like a wonderful alternative. It still gets the word out there (in the text of the post), yet gives hope to people who could do some good.

I haven't had anyone shame me for this before, but I'm sure it's just because this is the first time I've ever complained about those posts. Sorry you had to deal with that.
